Parka, on in Bath & Halifax

6 Jan 2011: "That's Me on the Left, in the Parka" will be out again in two weeks time. Been working on it at  home - remaking the piano, relearning the text, making a new film, getting the music worked deep into the hand's memory so I can talk spontaneously as I'm playing. My method is still the same: hours daily at the keyboard, playing the themes over and over, while reciting the preamble to the US constitution.  When I can do that without stumbling over words or flopping on the keys, then I've broken its back, and can switch to the script. The show will be at the Rondo Theatre in Bath 22 Jan (www.rondotheatre.co.uk) and the Square Chapel Centre for the Arts in Halifax on 18 Feb (www.squarechapel.co.uk). Looking forward to it...
